My clients and friends call me Suze (a nickname my Dad gave me) – pronounced just like Suze Orman.
I bet you’re wondering why I have all the space-age Jetson stuff? Well, I grew up with “The Jetsons” and loved how Jane Jetson always had those space-age gadgets to make her life easier.
I bought my first computer in 1982 (a DOS Operating System) and promptly set up our vet clinic, my real estate office, and our ranch businesses’ bookkeeping on Peachtree. In 1996 I set up my real estate company’s listings on our own website – one of the first in New Mexico.
My hubby, Steven, calls me the “Gadget Queen” because I’m always looking for ways to make my housework easier – hence the new iRobot vacuum cleaner!
For 28+ years, I owned and operated my office, Northern New Mexico Real Estate, a United Country Real Estate Franchise. In 2006, out of 700 offices nationwide, we earned the coveted #1 Top Office spot. My office was consistently in the Top Ten for eight years straight. I was awarded the “Best Lead Generation System” award in 2010 from The Home Builders, Re-modelers & Green Ideas Tradeshow, in Albuquerque, NM, with over 250 exhibitors and up to 400 booths present.
When I retired from real estate in 2011, I founded AdvantaCoach of Virginia, Inc., an entrepreneur coaching company on marketing principles, lead generation, customer retention, and revenue growth. I grew my previous businesses on marketing and wanted to share my knowledge with other entrepreneurs.
In 2013, it was my marketing and financial systems that won our cleaning business the Squeegee Squad’s National Franchise “Rookie of the Year” award for the fastest growing franchisee in the franchise history.
Internationally-known author, Lee Milteer, asked me to co-author “Women Who Mean Business,” which published in April 2012 along with other experts who achieved outstanding success in their fields.
While helping clients with their marketing, I found most didn’t know their numbers (or didn’t have any!); it was impossible to make any strategic decisions – and that was so frustrating for everyone!
Consequently, in 2015, I launched Bookkeeping21 to provide business owners the critical support, tools, skills, and motivation to implement best bookkeeping practices since they are the foundation for creating a highly profitable and productive business.
I hold a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Secondary Education – English from Rowan University, New Jersey. I’m a Certified Professional Coach with the Coach Training Alliance (CCTA) and Fowler-Wainwright International, and I’m certified to administrator for the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Steps I & Step II.
I’m a Certified Bookkeeper by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers, a Certified QuickBooks Desktop & Online Advanced ProAdvisor, and, most importantly, a Certified Profit First Professional.
I live on Swallowtail Farm in Chuckatuck, Virginia, with my hubby, Steven, six cats, two dogs, two horses, and lots of other critters too numerous to mention! My passion, besides growing Profit First companies, is growing flowers in my garden. And every weekend you’ll find me dirty and happy right there!
